The Bolshevik Mine of the New Mining Management Company Celebrated Its 70th Anniversary

The Bolshevik Mine celebrated its 70th anniversary. The celebration in honor of the enterprise’s anniversary took place in the ZSMK Cultural Center in Novokuznetsk.
The mine’s staff was congratulated on the significant date by the Executive Director of the New Mining Management Company Andrey Ilyin, Deputy Minister of the Coal Industry of Kuzbass Elena Golova, Head of the Zavodskoy District of Novokuznetsk Alexey Ermolaev and other honored guests. The employees and veterans of the enterprise were presented with 54 awards at the regional, municipal and corporate level.
The Bolshevik Mine is one of the oldest in Kuzbass. The enterprise has been operating since 1954, but coal mining here began in 1932 by a small team of miners. In the 1950s, electricity was installed in the mine workings, the first electric locomotives appeared, and a little later, the first heading and mining combines. In the 1970s and 80s, Bolshevik became one of the leading coal mining enterprises in the region. The miners became five times holders of the Red Banner. In 1999, the mine received an Honorary Certificate from the Governor of Kuzbass Aman Tuleyev for its high contribution to the extraction of the 100 millionth ton of coal in the region. Since 2005, the enterprise has put into operation a new geological site – the eastern block of the Yesaulsky 3-4 site. Now the miners continue to develop it. A new cleaning mechanized complex, which was purchased under the investment program last year, helps the miners efficiently and safely extract coal in difficult mining and geological conditions. Mining is carried out in the 29-61 BIS longwall with reserves of 650 thousand tons of GZh coal. At the same time, miners are preparing new extraction areas. The mining face in the mine is considered the steepest in Kuzbass — its angle of inclination is 43 degrees.
Among the enterprises of the Bolshevik company is a pilot site for the implementation of new digital tools. Over the past year, a digital problem-solving board and a system for recording downtime for mining areas have been put into operation here.
Family traditions are honored at the mine. Currently, representatives of four dynasties work here: the Popov, Volodin, Troshkov and Chigintsev families. The total work experience of the families is 1112 years.
For the anniversary of the Bolshevik mine, Novaya Gornaya UK and the Novokuznetsk Art Museum implemented a unique project. A group of artists visited the mine’s production sites with an industrial plein air. The result of the work was the exhibition “There, in the coal mine …”, which opened in the windows of the museum before Miner’s Day. Paintings from this exhibition also decorated the ZSMK Cultural Center for the anniversary celebration.
