Tungsten deposit in Transbaikalia is being put up for sale for 122 million rubles

The site was developed until 1960, but mining was deemed unprofitable.
Dalnedra plans to hold an auction for the right to use the subsoil of the Bukukinskoye tungsten ore deposit, located in the Transbaikal Territory. The auction is scheduled for December 28, 2024. The starting payment is 122.82 million rubles.
The deposit is located in the Olovyanninsky district of the region. In the 30-60s of the last century, processing plants operated at the deposit, but work was stopped due to low profitability. In the 90s, geological exploration was carried out at the deposit, and a high level of exploration of the site is noted. However, as follows from the tender documentation, according to the conditions in effect on the date of reserve calculation, these reserves are classified as off-balance due to the low content of the useful component. In addition, the authors concluded that the prospects for identifying new industrial wolframite placers in the Bukukinsky ore cluster area are clearly negative and the prospects for obtaining balance reserves for known placers are negative. Nevertheless, as of January 1, 2023, the Bukukinsky deposit has balance reserves of tungsten trioxide for ore sites: category A – 39 tons, B – 363 tons, C1 – 3,229 tons, C2 – 2,459 tons and off-balance reserves of category C1 – 732 tons. The forecast resources for placer sites are also taken into account: category P1 in the amount of 86.36 tons.
