MOSCOW, April 23 – RIA Novosti. Uranium wells in Kurgan Region are located on high ground, the flood did not affect them, messages on social networks about the alleged flooding are disinformation, the press service of Rosatom’s mining division said.
The deposits of JSC Dalur are located on high ground and far from the water. The flood did not affect them. There is no threat of flooding, in Zverinogolovsky District the water has been falling for several days. “The flood situation is being monitored,” the statement said.
It is noted that messages on social networks about production and old wells being in the flood zone “are deliberate disinformation.”
The press service specified that it is ready to provide the opportunity to visit the deposit to representatives of the media, the public and regulatory authorities at any time.
“Dalur” is mining uranium in the Kurgan region using the borehole in-situ leaching method.
