Nordgold to start training specialists for its enterprises in Yakutia

Students will be able to learn blue-collar jobs at the Olekminsky College.
Gold mining company Nordgold and the Olekminsky College in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) signed a cooperation agreement. The initiative is aimed at training students in blue-collar jobs in the mining industry. This was reported by the press service of the gold mining company.

“We are interested in having as many local personnel as possible working at our enterprises in Yakutia. Cooperation with the Olekminsky College will allow us to train employees in basic blue-collar jobs in a short time,” said Ekaterina Trubenkova, head of the HR training and development department at Nordgold.

The first stage of the joint work will include training for drivers and operators of specialized equipment, which in addition to theoretical classes will include practical training. The plans include courses on servicing mining equipment and occupational safety.
