Gold production in the Magadan region: Forecast to 2042 and plans for 2025

The Magadan Region plans to produce from 54 to 60.9 tons of gold in the period from 2025 to 2042. This is stated in the forecast of socio-economic development of the region until 2042.

 

Key factors of gold production growth:

Commissioning of new gold extraction plants (ZIF), in particular, reaching the design capacity of the second stage of the ZIF of Pavlik JSC (at least 12 tons of gold per year) and the mine of Teutejak Mine LLC (3 tons of gold per year).

An increase in the ore recovery rate of Polyus Magadan JSC at the Natalka deposit due to the introduction of traditional flotation technology.

Commissioning of new deposits: Kedrovoye, Neryuchinskaya, Degdekanskoe, Chai-Yurya.

In 2024, gold production in the Magadan region amounted to 54.1 tons, which is 13% higher than in 2023. The growth was shown by the deposits Pavlik, Natalkinskoye, Teutejak, Nevenrikan, Burgali and others.

Silver production in 2024 amounted to 423.2 tons, which is 19.7% lower than the level of the previous year.

Plans for 2025:

  • Gold production: 54 tons
  • Silver mining: 600 tons

 

Commercial exploitation of placer and ore deposits of gold and silver will continue.
