41.5 tons of gold were mined in the Magadan Region in January-September 2024
Gold mining enterprises of the Magadan Region extracted 41.5 tons of the precious metal in January-September of this year. In annual comparison, the growth was 10.8%.
It is noted that 27.3 tons of ore gold were mined out of the total volume. 14.2 tons were produced at placers. 322.3 tons of silver were extracted in the region over nine months.
The largest enterprises of the region are: JSC ZRK Pavlik (part of IC Arlan), JSC Susumanzoloto (part of UMMC), JSC Serebro Magadana and OOO Omolonskaya Gold Mining Company (part of Polymetal), JSC Polyus Magadan (part of PJSC Polyus). Silver mining in the region is carried out by subsidiaries of the Polymetal company: JSC Serebro Magadana (mines Dukat, Lunnoye, Perevalnoye) and OOO Omolonskaya Gold Mining Company. Silver mining is also carried out by: OOO Agat and JV ZAO Omsukchanskaya GGK.
