An electric pump unit is a device consisting of a pump and an electric motor, which are mounted on a single frame. The torque is transmitted from the electric motor to the pump directly either through a shaft or by means of a belt drive.

The rotation speed of the electric motor is controlled by a frequency converter (frequency regulator), which is installed in the control cabinet. The pumping unit control cabinet can also be mounted on a common frame or supplied separately.
