October 8, 2024, NEDRADV. The Lena Department of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) identified violations of industrial safety requirements at the Internatsionalny mine of ALROSA (PJSC).

The department established that during work in the stope of block No. 11, layer No. 11, belt No. 3, the mining and geological conditions at the facility deteriorated, which caused a loss of stability in the face of the workings. The Internatsionalny mine is located 16 km southwest of the city of Mirny in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The pipe is mined by the Mirny Mining and Processing Plant. The enterprise belongs to ALROSA (PJSC).
