Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a resolution that extends until September 1, 2025, the simplified procedure for confirming the conformity of products with the requirements of technical regulations, as well as national and interstate standards when importing them from abroad or putting them into circulation in the country.
We are talking about goods that previously required a certification procedure that took a long time. In March 2022, the Government allowed manufacturers and exporters of such goods to use a simplified procedure – they had to provide declarations of conformity of goods based on their own evidence, without lengthy laboratory tests.
After submitting a declaration under the simplified procedure and bringing the products to the market, manufacturers and exporters have six months to confirm the conformity of their goods with the requirements of the technical regulations of the EAEU or the requirements of Russian legislation in the field of technical regulation. This procedure has reduced the risks of low-quality products entering the market and at the same time reduced the burden on businesses.
The measure, taken in the context of sanctions restrictions, has proven its effectiveness, so it was decided to extend it.
The signed document amends Government Resolution No. 353 of March 12, 2022.
