Nordgold subsidiary buys company with licenses for polymetallic deposits in Yakutia

In the coming years, the company intends to study the accumulated geological information and explore the deposit

MOSCOW, July 11. /TASS/. The structure of the gold miner Nordgold – the company Nordgold Development – became the owner of 100% in the company Yakutsk Gas Processing Complex (YGPK), which holds licenses for polymetallic ore sites in Yakutia, follows from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

The corresponding changes to the register were made on July 9.

“The only asset of YGPK is a relatively small polymetallic greenfield project in one of the priority Russian regions for Nordgold – Yakutia. In the coming years, the company will study the accumulated geological information and explore this deposit,” the press service of Nordgold told TASS.

According to Rosnedra, YAGPK holds a license for geological exploration, prospecting and production of polymetallic ores (lead, zinc and silver) within the Sardaninsky ore cluster in Yakutia, as well as a license for exploration and production of polymetallic ores at the Sardana deposit. The company’s licenses are valid until 2036 and 2030, respectively.
