President of Kumtor Gold Company Closed Joint-Stock Company Almazbek Baryktabasov and Director of Resources of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant Joint-Stock Company Lyubov Egorova discussed potential cooperation.
President of Kumtor Gold Company Almazbek Baryktabasov noted that the two largest mining companies in Central Asia have a whole range of areas for establishing mutually beneficial partnerships.
Director of Resources of Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant Joint-Stock Company Lyubov Egorova expressed interest in establishing direct and permanent contacts between the two companies to exchange experience, including on issues of open-pit and closed-pit gold ore mining.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 10th Mining and Geological Forum MINEX Central Asia 2024.

The plant is an industrial cluster that has mastered the full production cycle from geological exploration of reserves in the subsoil, ore mining and its processing to the production of finished products.
The share of the plant in the industrial production of the Republic of Uzbekistan is 13.5% and more than 16% of revenues to the national budget.
