A dynamic model of ore flow bottlenecks was launched into the smart production system of Stoilensky GOK (part of the NLMK Group). Using color
indication, the system allows you to see specific areas and equipment where there is a decrease in productivity during processing, transportation
of ore, production of concentrate or pellets, requiring adjustment of settings.
This made it possible to reduce the time for detailed analysis and search for reasons for the decrease in the flow of concentrate and pellets from 30 minutes to 1 minute, as well as maintain optimal equipment operation and prevent a decrease in productivity.
“Previously, in order to understand where our flow is decreasing or where several equipment failures have occurred at once, it was necessary to open several windows and dive into the report forms in detail. This took from 20 to 30 minutes. Now everything is clearly visible in real time on the general flow diagram. We can say that this is a continuation of the evolution of smart production, when we can see not only the deviation from planned indicators, but also the dynamics of bottlenecks. I would like to separately note that the development and implementation of the dynamic model was entirely carried out by Stoilensky GOK specialists,” comments Ilya Orlov, NLMK Program Manager.
