The capital will host the SMART Geologic International Geoforum, a scientific and practical platform for dialogue between government, science and business in the field of geology, subsoil use and technological development of the industry. The format is full—time and online, working languages are Russian and English.
The forum will bring together experts from Russia, the countries of Central, East and South Asia, Southeast Asia, the BRICS and ASEAN countries, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. The discussion focuses on the mineral resource base, modern geological exploration methods, ecology, personnel training, attracting investment, and digital solutions for subsoil use.
The forum program includes a presentation by A. A. Dadashyan, head of the “Mining Exchange” project. He will present the industry portal Infogor.ru and explain how the platform helps subsoil users find equipment suppliers and service providers.
Program
09:00–10:00 — registration, coffee break
10:00–10:30 — forum opening
10:30–12:30 — plenary session

16:30–17:30 — closed session
19:00–21:00 — gala dinner (by invitation only)
At the plenary session, the industrial and mineral resource potential of countries and regions, geological exploration methods, equipment production and personnel training, the investment attractiveness of the industry, and international geological partnership will be discussed. A separate section will focus on the information development of geology: media support, popularization of knowledge, and public recognition of the industry’s role.
Panel sessions
1. The oil and gas sector — depletion of mature fields, import substitution, digitalization, logistics, deep processing, and technological sovereignty.
2. Rare‑earth metals — search and analytical methods, specifics of deposits, environmental impact of extraction, and new processing technologies.
3. Legal regulation of subsoil use — licensing, taxation, payments, benefits, rights to geological information, and measures of state support for investors.
4. Hydrogeology — the role of water and glaciers, the stability of structures, contamination of aquifers, reservoirs, and anthropogenic factors..
5. Ecology of subsoil use — monitoring of deposits, risk management, reclamation, reducing the carbon footprint, and flaring of associated gas..
6. Digitalization in geology — digital models of deposits, data analysis, increasing resource recovery, and international technological cooperation.
The objectives of the forum include the exchange of professional experience, the promotion of scientific and practical results, including through publications, as well as the development of additional professional education in the industry.
