In 2024, Russian enterprises received a net profit (profit minus loss) of 30 trillion 427.9 billion rubles, which is 6.9% less than in 2023, Rosstat reported on Wednesday.
In December, the net profit of enterprises amounted to 3 trillion 209.8 billion rubles, an increase of 6.4 times compared to December 2023 (500.0 billion rubles).
The net profit of companies in the field of mining increased by 9.2% in 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 6 trillion 679.2 billion rubles. Including in the field of oil and natural gas production, the indicator increased by 15.7% to 5 trillion 275.1 billion rubles.
In the field of coal mining, a net loss of 112.6 billion rubles was recorded against a profit a year earlier (374.7 billion rubles). Profit in the field of coal mining in the reporting period fell by 68.3%, to 140.4 billion rubles, and the loss increased 2.6 times, to 253 billion rubles. The share of profitable coal companies was 46.7% last year compared to 68.5% a year earlier.
As reported, in 2023, Russian enterprises received a net profit of 33 trillion 306.3 billion rubles, which is 35.2% more than in 2022 (when there was a decrease of 12.6% compared to the previous year).
